Autumn shadows

Hope to make a start on the Autumn seed sowing tomorrow (today!) have a few packs of seed from secret seeds that need to be sown now, its still a bit early to plant the garlic will hold off till the middle of October, there are one or two plants/shrubs in the garden that i would like to propagate and i will need to check if the time is right for that! still a bit early for root cuttings from the oriental poppies, that has been very successful for me in the past, still a good bit of tidying to be done in the garden and the shed!! tender plants to be brought in, bulbs to be planted, pots to be washed and stored, beds to be weeded, and still time to put in some more winter stock into the veg beds! pack up the seed that i have been drying and store it for next year, in fact i hope there will be enough daylight for all this!!!

What can I say, Dave. You just never stop. And need I say anything about this photo. It is so gorgeous. Whatever you do for a living, its not your calling. Unless you are STILL doing photography! Brilliant.

Hi Chillipeper, what are you going to sow in veg now, I have to thank you for the tip of sowing the transplanted carrots as they seem to be growing fine time to tell will be at the picking. Great photo just shows there is beauty all year round mine you what is the saying - "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder" I think and it's being able to see all the different forms of beauty.

lovely picture. I have some seeds as well that say autumn or spring I am going to try half them and plant some now and some later so I will have a good stock. Lots of space in the flower bed still. Hope to fill it up and leave no room for weeds :O)

I'd like to know what veg you are sowing now too! I think all the little attempts I made over the summer I must have planted a bit late. (It was ok according to packet, but I wonder whether it is best to be as early as poss?)
