What did I do today? Lets see if I can remember.
Firstly I removed some self seeded annuals from the annuals border in front of the greenhouse. I did this because I wanted to spray the whole border with weedkiller, which I did.
It was a hard job though as the small sprayer I have gets jammed on. Lucky I didn't have to pass over any other areas to do the job while the sprayer was indiscriminately spraying weed-killer. Note to self - invest in a proper weed-sprayer. My back is destroyed from bending double too.
I also enlarged the strip allotted to the semi-circular copper beech hedge with my trusty half-moon grass edger. And I dumped another load of plants that didn't make it through last winter - mostly Lobelia cardinalis, from seed last year and still in pots. In fact I ended up with a whole wheelbarrow of spent compost from those pots and used it to mulch part of the West Garden.
I don't seem to have done much else today although my back is telling me that I did a whole lot : (
