Chicken Run

Hubby made a temporary fence for the the chickens.

They can be in it when they are not in their house.

It stops them roaming and the posts are only hammered in lightly so it can be moved when they wear out the grass.

There's a big gorse bush there in the background for whoever's interested. They are 10 a penny in Wexford.

Have you clipped the wings so they cannot fly ???

Rachel Rachel 06 May 2010 19:50:00

No, Clare. I think that is more important in small joined back gardens where they are likely to visit the neighbours if you don't clip their wings. If the hens regularly get over that fence, we will look to lipping them.

Don't worry they will find out, that other side of fence grass is greener and worms taste better:))

Their wings will be clipped if they get over the fence!
