Doing 'A Liga' : )

Doing 'A Liga' : )

Recently when I met up with Liga she told me that she had about 200 Livingstone Daisy seedlings (mesembryanthemum) on the go. I was flabbergasted and couldn't imagine how anyone could cope with that many seedlings. It wasn't the fact that Liga has 200 seedlings (many of us do) but it was that fact that she had 200 of one single type!!!

Anyway, I didn't take any Livingstone Daisy seedlings off Liga as I had just sown my own - the last seeds for this year's display. As it was my last sowing and I wasn't sure how the germination rate of the cheap Lidl seed packet would be, I sowed a lot of seeds per cell.

Yesterday morning I went to deal with my overcrowded seed cells. And, I decided to do 'A Liga'. I pricked the seedlings out, rather than discarding them and ended up with 5 trays of Livingstone Daisies. That makes 120 seedlings. Okay - nearly 'A Liga'.
