Chelsea Gardens

I, like everyone else, am watching every scrap of Chelsea that I can get. I must say that our Garden.ie friends certainly chose a good year to go. Isn't the standard really excellent? It is also so encouraging to see no sign of the recession in the gardens. Gardening for me is pure escapism so a 'recession garden' is like a contradiction in terms!

I would like to list my favourite gardens but there are so many - Andy Sturgeon's Daily Telegraph Garden, Tom Stuart-Smith's Laurent-Perrier Garden, Hoblyn's Foreign & Colonial Investment, The Malaysian Tourism Garden and the lovely Victorian Aviary all spring immediately to mind but, actually, there are lots more and lots I haven't looked at yet.

But, hey guys, what's with the Cow Parsley??? I don't get that at all. It looks like Hog Weed to me!

Clare, it's on twice a day - different programmes. 12.30 and then 8pm tonight. Yesterday there were 3 programmes. And, if you have interactive, there are 2 additional programmes daily - one gardens' tour and one plant pavilion tour. Absolute gardeners' bliss : )

I've taped the shows not having any time to watch them.  Had a quick glance last night and saw Andy Sturgeons garden and that was fabulous.  Our garden.ie friends are very lucky indeed.

Did you see the bit yesterday, Liga, about the orchid collection from the Jardins de Luxembourg in Paris?
