It looks as if you could wedge a piece of wood, planed to suit on the inside.

Or tie a rope from the lamps above, bringing it around the two door handles and loop the end to go over the handles

Rachel, most of those doors have a sliding bar fitted to the top of the door. If it is there it may be just a matter of turning a screw to reset the tension, if not a piece of wood fitted as Pat says works well, just be sure it is  snug fit, and not straining the hinges.

You need a block in the concrete step to stop it swinging back and pinching on the wall. Then if there was a hole drilled into the step you could push in the piece of round wood above mentioned and withdraw it when you need to close up.

All my doors open in as otherwise they would be off their hinges, I know it takes up space in the room but at least they are safe I use wedge to hold them in place.

Thanks, folks. Lots of useful suggestions there. The wooden wedge wouldn't work though as the gap is too great. You can't really see that from this photo. I want to check out the bar at the top like Fran suggested but never got the chance today. Tomorrow hopefully.
