Today I decided to start tackling my problem area.

I dug up all the perennials I could find. That's them in the wheelbarrow there. I planted most of them just last year when I thought, mistakenly, I had addressed the weed problem.

I replanted all of them in other beds except the three anemones, which I put in pots.

That's the easy bit done.

Sometimes - as with writing a letter - you're better off starting off with a new page. In case a newly weed-free patch of soil. I have sprayed my front garden twice now and still the couch grass is determined to stand its ground. It's like a passive protestor chained to the railings. I hope your weed problem is overcome more quicly.

I was thinking of your big front garden project last autumn, Michelle, when I dug them up. You, however, had the foresight to do the task at the correct time of year.
