Rachel, could I have an Hordeum and an Artichoke please.  I think I put my name down for an Abutilon for the Christmas get together but I think your internet went on the fritz so not to worry if they're gone.

Margaret, no problem. Nothing is gone yet : ) Just to be sure about the artichoke, it's not an artichoke. It's a tuberous vegetable that can be eaten like a potato. My hubby set up this facebook page about them...

Rachel, the Abutilon you gave me last year, was a little shook after the winter, but I noticed new buds showing ;-))

No problem, Orchid. My big Abutilon is producing a lot of seedlings at the moment.

They really are very hardy, Fran. Even small plants survived both last winter and the one before. The only thing was that last winter my big Abutilon was completely defoliated and failed to flower in spring. I am hopeful of flowers for this year as it didn't get completely defoliated this time round.

If you have a spare abutilon I would love one as I have not had one for years. Mary

Thanks, Rachel. My Abutilon that you gave me two years ago has done very well. A few leaves killed of this winter but certainly alive! Im looking forward to flowers maybe next year?

Rachel i have some bearded Irises second year in my garden .. they are small all yet .. i kept in in the pots as last year i have got them from Gardens4you.eu  ..as bare roots ..cannt tell the names didnt put labels .. have some blue and different pinks.. I could prepeare for saturday .. a few ..

Ingrid, if you bought the irises last year then you should keep them for yourself. I only give away plants when I have too many of one type. You should not give away what's precious to you. Wait until further down the road and you have to split your irises because they are too big. Then I will gladly take from you. Looking forward to meeting you tomorrow.
