Orchids in Flower

Orchids in Flower

Here is a shot of my orchids, which are currently in flower.

I was planning on cleaning out the glasshouse after feeding the orchids this morning but it's a bit gusty out there. I'd have to take all my plants out of the glasshouse and I don't want them disappearing over the horizon.

I think I'd better just get on with the garden clearance for today. Right, enough messing. Time for some work.

Dave, there is an album. If you look under my photos and go to the 11th line, the orchid album is the one on the far right of the 11th line.

Love this,and happy for you!!!

Ruth, it depends which ones you are talking about. Not all orchids flower every year. Phalaenopsis seem to just keep going and are always flowering or making new spikes. In the photo, the Dendrobium 'Berry Oda' and Laeliocattleya 'Coastal Sunrise' have flowered every year although it is only year 2 for 'Coastal Sunrise' so maybe I shouldn't generalise yet : ) It's my firsts flowering for Coelygne and Ludisia.

Oncidiums seem to flower regularly every year or sometimes a bit more than than.
