St Paddy's Day Leprechaun

St Paddy's Day Leprechaun

As you can see, we have our own private leprechaun here.

This is our red-head, Josh, in front of 'Babies' Hill' this morning.

Happy Saint Patrick's Day, everyone.

That's a great display of daffodils, love your leprechaun!

Dick Dick 17 March 2011 17:41:25

Very good Rachel, the same to you and family. He seems to be enjoying himself among the daffodils.

did you see the new giant orchid on the bbc2 program tonight ?

Dick Dick 17 March 2011 19:45:40

Sorry Fintan, I don't have BBC but I saw Dermot O'Neill on RTE1. He is making great progress as is his garden.

Rachel Rachel 17 March 2011 19:52:22

Thanks, Ruth and Dick.

What BBC programme, Fintan?

Scrubber Scrubber 17 March 2011 20:27:11

Is Babies Hill a variety of daffodil? or is it the hill behind Josh. By the way Josh you dont look a bit like a leprechaun! Dermot O Neill is such an honest down to earth person isnt he with a passion for perfection though. His programme is the highlight of my week's viewing.

Rachel Rachel 17 March 2011 20:31:32

Not a variety of daffodil, Scrubber, just a term for the bumpy ground my son is standing on. We had a digger in last year and I wanted to level the area but the boys revolted. So 'Babies' Hill' remains. Josh has red hair so, you know... leprechaun!

Ah, Fintan was talking about Dermot's programme. I don't have RTE so I'll catch that on the website later.

Cloncaw Cloncaw 17 March 2011 23:26:11

Babies Hill looks lovely covered in daffodils and the leprechaun looks happy that it survived after the revolt.

no , there waas a program on bbc2 , part of it was about a new orchid that has been found , it has hugh flowers and they are begining a breeding program to hybridize it with common orchid types .

it was one of these top ten type programs , should be on bbc i-player .

Rachel Rachel 18 March 2011 20:09:52

Thanks, Geraldine, Fran and Una.

That's right, Bill, Leprechaun gold : )

So glad you enjoyed the article, Scrubber. I think we got the good end of the bargain lately.

Sorry I missed that, Fintan.
