... and it was very hard to leave.

Whoops. Wrong photo in the last journal. I don't want anyone to think I'm putting up gratuitous orchid photos!

Today I potted up all those Pleione you gave me, Liga. Thank you : ) What type are those little primulas you gave me?

Wow! Had a look at your photos, love the bonsai trees even though I wouldnt have the patience! The Botanic Garden would be a lovely place to spend a day in this weather, not to mention visiting Liga's of course:)

Wow, and double wow.

Thanks, Dick and Fran.

I wouldn't have the patience for those bonsai either, Myrtle. I lost my one and only over winter. The guy exhibiting has 500 and they need watering every day... I thought I was mad!

I saw that display a few weeks ago and I thought they were beautiful. The Botanic Garden is making a huge effort in the glasshouses, veg garden and the grounds in general and it is a great amenity for the residents of the area. The also have a very good programme of courses over the next few months. Mary

I was delighted to see the Cypripedium in flower, Mary, in their alpine glasshouse. I have two in pots in my cold glasshouse and noticed a shoot emerging recently. Happy days. I got their programme of events too so I'll be taking a look.
