A Bit Peeky?

Mirabilis jalapa 'Variegata' (Terra Nova Strain)

What do you think?

Is this Marvel of Peru seedling looking a bit undernourished or what?

Are they supposed to get extra minerals at potting on or what?

Besides being a pale colour, my seven seedlings seem healthy enough.

I've looked at various propagation instructions and there is no mention of adding potash or anything.

Who has grown these before?

Wow, what a monster! I don't think you should feed it just yet though. It doesn't look very yellow to me, I think it's just a paler shade of green than normal seedlings. :) Well done, you.

Nice healty looking plant,i think because it is variegata,it is not dark green but like you have.

Rachel, why do you think it is called Terra Nova strain? Because it is different from the norm of course! Your Mirabilis looks exactly as it should. As it matures the leaves become a lovely glowing gold with a green centre to them. This looks really good when the pink flowers arrive. So keep on doing exactly as you are doing now, all is well :)

Don't know anything about it but it looks super keep going with it and we will all look forward to seeing the results later in the year
