Persicaria microcephala 'Red Dragon'

I did more potting today and the weather did more raining. But I stayed dry.

It's hard to know what to do with annuals at this stage. The temptation is to leave them in the 24 cell trays as they will all be planted out on 1st June anyway. However, I did this last year and think I never got the growth I should have as a result.

So today, Verbena rigida, Amaranthus 'Hop' Red Dye and some more Salvia 'Lady in Red' all got potted on.

I noticed the Persicaria 'Red Dragon' looking well, which reminds me. Didn't I promise some to Hazel?

It does look well in front of the green and a nice white aquilega peeping through!

P 'Red Dragon' looking well alright. Must pick one up myself. Spent some time today potting on seedlings also as the day was too miserable for outside work.

we seem to be avoiding the worst of the rain here, but then i don't have a glasshouse full of seedlings waiting to leap up in the rain, red dragon is roaring away their too, i enjoyed your article in the mag this month, just got a chance to read it over dinner earlier, well done rachel.

I cann't decide whether to pot on seedlings in cell trays or take a chance and plant them out, did pot my cosmos candy stripe as they were getting leggy.

Great little plant. I have cosmos in trays of 24 which have been hardening off for two weeks now. I really want to plant them straight out. Will I regret it.
