Favourite Fern

Dryopteris filix-mas 'Cristata Martindale'

Despite being a fully paid up member of the Fern Society, I must confess a certain ignorance regarding ferns. But I hope to learn more.

This one, that Fran gave me last year, is my favourite.

Mind you, The Japanese Painted Fern and Onoclea sensibilis are right up there too.

We won't mention tree ferns :(

Opps, despite been the Chairman of same said Society, I am still not paid up. But then again, like the Queen, as Chairman, I don't ''do money'' ;-))

Lovely one, have a good few ferns about the place but like you must confess to not knowing enough about them --- don't tell Martin that though :-)

there once was a man from limerick,

ferns was his hobby i think,

he hates bracken and weeds,

loved spores and seeds,

and hungry people he feeds !!

i think everyone likes ferns as their so natural i think.
