Nice Climber

26 May 2011 22:25:55

Here's another nice climber.

I think Fran will recognise this one!

I have two Rhodochiton.

I grew them from seed last winter but left the majority of them outdoors, where they perished.

Three came indoors and one got knocked over but two are looking good now.

It certainly is a lovely climber.  I thought Fran's one is outdoors?  Are you keeping it in because of the wind?

Rhodochiton envy .................... big time.

Yes Mairin, outdoors for the summer, only. Parent plant is suffering badly, but then it was great for three years.

I'll put mine outdoors after the wind stops.

Sorry about yours, Fran. Time to go again from seed, I reckon.

Ahead of you there Rachel, have some coming on already. Two in perticular are doing great.

You have given me the idea of bringing one indoors, so I can blame you and you can deal with Maria ;-))

Rachel Rachel 26 May 2011 23:33:43

Ha ha. It's always best to hedge your bets, I guess. I think it is a plant that only really 'gets going' in year two.

Think your right there alright. That one looks great, well done.
