I took a tour of the garden today to find that nearly all of the white foxgloves I grew from seed last year, are destroyed. They were the biggest casualty of the wind.

Luckily Deborah gave me a foxglove last year and it must be sturdier than mine because it is looking great, with several spires, and is still standing. I will try collecting seed as it would seem to be a keeper.

I started three years ago with a pale mauve foxglove - it self-seeded at a great rate and I now have Purple, pale mauve. lemon and white - I know some people get upset when plants don't come true from seed - have to say I just love the surprise!

Beautiful only have self seeded ones here which seem to have survived the gales

Yeah, Hazel. I'm not sure if its sterile or what the deal is. Anne Redetsky can be grown from seed as I see it for sale on the internet but I guess that doesn't mean it comes true from seed. It might be some class of F1 hybrid. Can anyone advise?
