Hamamelis x intermedia 'Arnold Promise'

In the garden today, I noticed how the witch hazel really looks super when the flowers form great clusters.

Disappointingly, I really can't get any scent off them though :(

FCO (rest - nobile2 (2nd or 3rd week), loddigesii, Coelogyne)

Pity about the lack of scent, but its a beauty anyway.My 'Jelena' is just starting to open its buds whereas 'Pallida' is still magnificent.

We got a touch of rain here this afternoon. I'll have to stiff the witch hazel tomorrow if it's still damp.

I Checked my Witch Hazel today and it is only forming the buds amazing to see how far ahead you are down in Wexford how long have you had that one Rachel it is beautiful pity about the scent

Jacinta, there a picture of the whole shrub in my January album.

This one is only down since 2010 but has really done well this year.

I've been sniffing my Hamamelis too without getting any sort of whiff! Must try it after rain ...
