Pulmonaria & Helleborus

Pulmonaria & Helleborus

After a mere two years, I was greeted by a wonderful sight in the greenhouse this afternoon.

Both Cardiocrinum and tree peonies have germinated!

A big, big thank you to Paddy & Mary for the Cardiocrinum cordatum seeds and to Deborah for the Paeonia speciosa (pink flowered) seeds, which I sowed in the depths of darkest December 2010.

Gardening doesn't get much better than this!

I have to say that's the oh so nicest photo.  And you have to be the best at waiting for seed germination, Rachel!!

Rachel Rachel 25 February 2012 12:10:31

Ah, thanks, Sally!

Now, Mary, I am waiting for Jimi's Cardiocrinum gigantum seed to germinate. Did he give your class seeds this year or maybe he had none ripe?
