Seed Trays

It was a glorious sunny spring day today and it was great to get outside. Just as well really, as the heating oil just finished! Always hard to know whether to buy more oil at this time of year or not.
I did a bit of cutting back and a bit of mulching while hubby sprayed the newly created end to our garden with hefty weed-killer. I also spent a good hour in the greenhouse, watering thoroughly and doing a few bits of discarding.
On the positive, my goji plants have buds and the smaller edible physalis is re-sprouting from the base. There's a surprise! Also, the root cuttings of sea kale, which I took last autumn - I saw a bud on one of them. I'm sure others will follow. The sedum cuttings are also looking well.
But then I had to do kid drop-offs and collections so decided to check Aldi in Enniscorthy for seed trays. I had already checked Gorey. Not a one. We were then off to the cinema in Arklow so I dropped into Aldi there to check for the same but had no luck. I really should have bought more of them. Not sure what to do now as I do like the Aldi size trays and really like their cheaper price! Maybe I'll try Carlow.
