A Few Bits

Pleione formosa (from net)

Pleione formosa (from net)

Unfortunately I have done very little in the garden over the last few days as other jobs have taken priority.

I was pleased this morning to see a shoot popping up on my Pleione orchid. This is a deciduous orchid that I bought as a bulb a few weeks ago. Also there are signs of growth on one of my Jacobean lilies.

I sowed three trays of seeds this evening - 2 Hordeum jubatim and 1 Calendula Candyman Orange. Now I really am out of seed trays again!

Well Rachel  I have a feeling that if your out of seed trays you must be about to open a garden centre this year!!

I'm sure you will be as successful, Jacinta. I didn't do much - just potted it up and watered!

Yes, Jurga & Bill, space is a desperate problem for me now. I so need to move things out to the greenhouse but the night temperature needs to rise first!

I can't wait to see mine in flower too, Liga. I wonder how long it will take from this first shoot.

Hopefully that temperature at night will rise soon Rachel. The greenhouse will be in full demand soon.

Rachel, I can see you building an extension...to the greenhouse..you must have over 1,000 plants to plant now.
