I haven't told Krista yet, but my Orlaya has not germinated Rachel.  I'm so disappointed as I am normally quite successful with seeds.  They are out in greenhouse during the day and taken in of a night.  Perhaps it was too hot in g.house, as they are a hardy annual?

Rachel, could I try one please.

Sally, it's my first time with Orlaya. Linda germinated hers on a sunny window! Sorry you had no luck. It's always disconcerting when you know yourself to be good at something then - bam, a glitch : ) I hope I have luck as I'm looking forward to these.

Chickens! How exciting! Haven't been on the site much due to packing frantically but delighted you are taking the plunge with the chickens. Its one thing I regret not trying while we had the space in the countryside. Best of luck with it.

Alison, the kids are really excited now and keep asking when they are coming. Watch this space to see how we get on : )

Will be following with great interest. Lots of advice to be had on the site now about Chickens. We may have to rename it Gardenandpoultry.ie!!
