Very showery here this afternoon and evening, but I got out to take a few photos anyway.

I have a preference for the deciduous Azaleas over the evergreen Azaleas but I have to say that the evergreens can be very impressive in flower and A. kermesina rose is a good example.

The second photo shows the deciduous Azalea, A homebush and I just love this shrub. It is extremely attractive in every way and the photo explains better than I can put in words why I prefer the deciduous type.

My Crinodendron has never looked or flowered better, it is a very impressive large shrub at this stage and associates very well with neighbouring Rhodos and Azaleas. I wouldn't be without it.

I think Crinodendrons are very classy plants.Quietly impressive and not needing to be brightly coloured yet convincing. That probably sounds very silly but I think of them as quiet modest and very strong. I only have two and they are only a metre tall so I look forward to having them like yours Sean.

Thanks Scrubber, they are impressive at the size my one is now, and it is great considering it got very badly hit by the bad winters of a few years ago.

Looking great Sean, I find alot of stuff doing extra good this year and wonder is it down to the very mild winter.

Thanks Peter, it is quite possible.

Gorgeous Sean. My Crindodendron is doing fantastic too. It's about 6ft tall now but not as wide as yours. I have it in a border near my patio doors. Looks great at the moment.

Thanks Jackie, they are looking well this year.
