Scrubber Scrubber 03 August 2012 19:12:34

Bruno  would you please count me in. Anna has just said we are free later on in August and I dearly love that garden. Hope all is as well as can be with you these days and many thanks for organising it.

BrunoCork BrunoCork 03 August 2012 19:13:21

Wahoo! That was quick!....I'm excited :-)))

"Bruno

You would be most welcome on August 25th (hope the garden hasn’t been blown away by then!)

– if you are coming by car or bus:

DIRECTIONS  for a BUS to The Dillon Garden, 45 Sandford Road, Ranelagh, Dublin 6 (00-353-1-4971308):Coming from the North, i.e. from Dublin Airport, Belfast or from Cork, Limerick, Galway, Naas, Lucan etc: Take Exit 13 off the M50 going south

BrunoCork BrunoCork 03 August 2012 19:14:02

At roundabout at bottom of the hill take 3rd exit – this is a slip road which looks like it’s going back on to the motorway – but this is correct. Please continue  (less than a quarter of a mile) –  to next roundabout. Take 1st exit left signposted to City Centre. A few hundred yards along, and you’ll see the Beacon Hotel  and hospital on your right. You are now on the correct road.  The Dillon Garden is roughly 4 miles along this road, behind trees in a cul de sac called Sandford Terrace.continue for 1-2 miles then you will see The Goat pub on your left. A mile or so on, you will see yellow pub with flags flying on left, O’Shea’s Clonskeagh House, quickly followed Ashton’s Pub on right, at a bend in the road.

BrunoCork BrunoCork 03 August 2012 19:14:44

Shortly, junction with Eglinton Road traffic lights – keep straight onThen ESSO GARAGE on right. You will be stopping very soon!

200 yards or so on left you’ll see red-brick houses on left and BUS STOP beside trees. Please drop off your passengers at this STOP, then they can walk down small footpath through trees leading to terrace of white houses. Number 45 is in the middle of this terrace. (If you’re looking at a map this is south of the T.junction of Sandford Road and Marlborough Road)). If in a bus please drive away and park – this road is very busy.

BrunoCork BrunoCork 03 August 2012 19:14:59

If you are coming by car: If you turn left JUST BEFORE THE BELT OF TREES – down Hollybank Avenue you’ll see Parking Machine – you can park and walk from Hollybank Avenue if there is any parking other wise contine to end of trees and go left beside Church and then left again up Sandford Terrace  - we are middle house.

Entry is Euro 5 which will include tea/coffee biscuits as you are a group

regards

Helen"
