Happy Easter Everyone

And here are three azaelas that survived the recent reconstruction, which included about a foot or so being taken off the peat bed.

Take particular note of the Azaelea luteum which I'm thinking of renaming Golden Survivor. Hazel gave this to Tony and me for our Golden wedding in 2012. Tony never got to see it in bloom, and I had only seen one or two flowers myself. It was dug up and spent a few months in a bucket down in Laois, and was only replanted a few weeks ago when I got back to Tallaght.

Looks like Tony is working some magic on it from heaven.

Enjoy everyone!

That's great that they survived that temporary uprooting.

Happy Easter, Elizabeth.

Elizabeth, Tony  is looking down from Heaven and admiring your gardening. Remember it was in a garden that a very long time ago, we went the wrong way and it was a garden that thousands of years afterwards that we were moving back to redemption. You talk about plants that were put right. Sure St. Anthony is associated with finding things that were lost.

Thanks Jacinta - I've managed the delete as you suggested.

And thanks Dick - I deleted your comment too! Actually, the peat bed is based on part of the original footpath here, and built of concrete blocks. We filled it with so-called coal-dust from the coal man originally - it was full of pieces of turf, but over the years I removed most of them and added bags of ericacious compost, used only rainwater to water, and the acid plants seem to thrive fine.
