If only .....

It is clear from other journals that we are all fed up with the constant rain and the damage it is doing to our gardens.  I think at this stage I could forgive the damage done if it would just stop and I could get out again into the garden.  I could cut back, weed, tie up, cut the grass, plan, change this and that, plant up my recently prepared bed with my more tender things, fling a few snails over the fence on to the lane as punishment for eating my plants IF ONLY THE RAIN WOULD STOP !!

I have put up a few photos I took the day we got the summer :-)

It's no good trying to bargain with the weather. It has us exactly where it wants us :(

Think you may be a few things done over the weekend, enjoy if you can.

Love the top photo.

Lovely photos, great subtle colour combination and everything growing like mad. Mary

Lovely photos Margaret, your garden looks gorgeous and I'm admiring that bird sculpture. Obviously Scrubber's plea to the "lords of the weather" hasn't worked, so it's hard to know what we should try now.

well to be fair the southern counties have suffered the most with it this season, and im

not enjoying the garden myself,  as i feel im not in touch with all thats happening daily.

very disappointed too to hear of the decimation of bird eggs and chicks in the shannon

callows due to a three foot rise in water levels this "summer".

We have an open day tomorrow and are praying for it to stay dry for the afternoon :( Love your birdie Margaret, have nearly bought him a few times myself, but am trying to practice restraint. No doubt I shall succumb eventually :)

Margaret, the gods have not been kind but your garden is still wonderful :-)

It certainly looks like your garden is thriving despite the foul weather, Margaret. Great photos.
