Ligularia Othello

Ligularia Othello

I was doing a chop on certain perennials which were recommended before the winter and one was Ligularia.  But the seed heads on this Ligularia Othello were so nice I could bring myself to chop them down yet!!!

No harm at all to leave them there. Fionnuala Fallon in Sunday Independent is against cutting them off. They provide food for birds

I don't blame you leaving them. They're gorgeous. But you could just save SOME seeds for yourself, and leave the rest for the birds.

I agree Linda, they're far too nice to chop down!

I thing they look gorgeous and if covered with frost will look even better.
