Summer days!

Summer days!

Ive been online. Garden hasnt seen too much of me as weather has been very cold and nasty cold refuses to budge despite liberal inhalations of Jameson! Its not 'flu just a nasty headcold. So I go out and look down and am very pleased to see the shapes of the paths evolving below in the scrub. I did clear a lot of the beds near scrubber's statue and lots of crocosmia leaves-I just pulled them out so i hope I did right. The arch, gate and obelisks seem to stand out a littlemore clearly as the plantlife fades around them but they are not ,I think, intrusive. I am still without a usable lap top but it will arrive in santa's sack or in the sales afterwards which might be a better idea so am still without pictures except for this lovely one of Anna pruning expertly!.Or proper e-mail so please bear with me.

We were wondering where you were. I am glad that Anna and yourself are keeping well, apart from the head cold, miserable but I am sure the whiskey helps. I think most of us have stopped gardening now, we would do more damage than good. Snowdrops are poking up which is very hopefull and Paddy has a few flowering already, so he is very happy. A new computer from Santa, that's a big present. Hope you decide to come to the Get Together this year.

Welcome back, Peter. Mind that head cold. Anna looks happy out pruning away.

Ha Ha! Just pulled out Crocosmia leaves????? That only seems to encourage them!!! Lovely photo of Anna and nice to have a summery photo to look at!

And Santa really LOVES getting requests from "senior" folk, doesn't he?

Scrubber Scrubber 12 December 2017 20:24:32

Yes Hazel not that we'd be very familiar with 'senior folk', bless them. A summery photo does remind us that there's life in  the soil! Fallow is a new favourite word of mine  Terri-delightful. Myrstle somehow I cant see you in under a bush or in a heap of leaves. I can see you  expecting great new things.

Hope you are better now Peter, I have my old laptop in the repair shop to hopefully get it up and running again. I don't really like using my phone or tablet for the site as it's awkward so hope you enjoy your new laptop wether its on xmas morning or sometime in the new year. I haven't got out in the garden in awhile but i'm off for a week and a half over chritmas so hope to get 1 or 2 days and get a good bit done.
