About my garden: We moved to Roscommon nearly 5 years ago, one of the reasons was to have a big garden and grow my own veggies and lots of plants. Well, I got the 'big' but not really the garden. We ended up with a 1 acre field and slowly, and I do mean slowly, I started to produce a garden. We got a polytunnel (my second home) made raised beds and grew some veggies, and planted lots of seeds to plant out into my newly dug beds. And therein lay my first problem; rocks! and plenty of them. All my best laid plans are still that, plans. But I have managed to do a bit,and every year I give myself a project to complete. Last year it was a japanese style garden, but with the wet summer it was November before I got started, and just got it finished before another cold winter set in. I had found a use for some of the rocks I dug out from the vegetable garden. This year I plan to make a woodland area....
More about me: I live in Roscommon with my husband, daughter, dog, cat & bird. The rabbit sadly lost out to a hungry fox last winter. I love to garden, and buying plants has become an obsession.
