About my garden: Our back garden is a typical small suburban garden, about 10mX10m. It is south facing and on a small slope. When we moved into the house, it was already landscaped, and very low maintenance, but did not have nearly enough flowers for my taste, so that needed to be changed. We added a long narrow flower bed along the fence, facing east, and I am gradually adding flowers and shrubs in there, and there was a very large bed on the other side with some nice plants and lots of gravel. I'm now turning this into an area with lots of perennials and colourful flowers, it is the warmest and brightest area of the garden. The front is boring - big lawn, small flowerbed in the middle, and griselinia hedge - but we have not done much to it yet. It's on the "to do" list though...
More about me: I have lived in Ireland since 1989, in Bray since 1999. I love flowers, plants and gardening in general, although I am not spending nearly as much time as I would like looking after my garden and my plants! Some of my favourite flowers are hydrangeas, clematis, lupins, agapanthus and geraniums.
