About my garden: i live in the countryside on slightly more than half an acre. i love experimenting, initially it was flowers, then trees and more recently veg
i garden when i have the time. sometimes i have more success than others. last year for me was a complete washout as regards hanging baskets and flowers n general whereas in 2006 i had hanging baskets 4feet from top to toe which were all sown by me from scratch.
last year i got into vegetables for the 1st time. had some beautiful potatoes and lettuce, brussels sprouts and shallots. scallions were very bad for me so i hope to rectify that this year
More about me: married to karen. have 3 girls blaithin, reailtin and doireann. blaithin loves helping in the garden. she has helped plant potatoes, onions and flower bulbs and seeds.
reailtin is too young yet but if she's anything like her sister....
doireann is just a few weeks old
