About my garden: I bought and old house about two years ago. I feel in love with the garden-or rather the garden's potential-and the house was just incidental! It was once the edge of a woodland. The only tree which survives is a beautiful beech. The previous owner neglected the whole place and the garden was inaccessible when I first moved in. Now I'm trying to do something with it and could do with all the help and advice on offer! I cut back some of the jungle last year and got rid of the old washing machines, carpets, bikes, old beds and beer bottles. To my great surprise, this year I have crocuses, daffs and bluebells and other plants I can't identify peeping up from the tired ground. I think this speaks volumes about the world we live in and the world we could be living in.
More about me: I have been interested in plants, flowers and trees since I was a child and grew up listening to Gerry on the radio on Saturday mornings-my parents wouldn't miss the programme. I am full of good intentions but that's as far as it gets sometimes!!
