About my garden: I inherited the garden from my parents. It's particularly bright in the spring and early summer but not quite so good in the late summer - it seems to get a bit tired and colourless.
My parents had a lot of island beds in the lawn and a rose bed they were particulartly proud of. I've taken these out in order to simplify the garden maintenance. I've kept the first plant they got for the garden (50 years ago), which was a rambling rose. I don't know the name but it's still here, still growing vigorously on my south wall - a beautiful pale pink which blooms from early June right through until December. The most colourful spot in my garden is the rockery. It starts in January with the snowdrops, followed by a mass of yellow and purple crocus. These are followed closely by Aubretia, Campanula and Sedum and mini Dianthus.
More about me: I work full time so I don't have as much time in the garden as I would like. I love the spring time in the garden in particular.
