About my garden: Our garden is about half acre in all, to the back of the house and raised. We put in lots of individual speciment trees 3/4 years ago. we set 3 apple trees and 1 pear. Sown a large lawn which has a deep bank all round it. We introduced Rhodedandrons last year, even tho our soil is lime, so we dug in lots of peat/mulch. We love flowers, especially those scented. We have lots more plans, but daytime jobs must get priority. 2012 we started a Patio which we hope to finish now in 2013. Its crazy paving but it took a lot more stone than we thought, hence we have moved to plan B....introduction of coloured pebble, we think.
More about me: I have always loved gardening, started out with my Dad and I doing the weeding together.. Nothing was ever planted when I was a child in the line of trees, hedging etc. We had 2 appletrees, rhubarb and our veg.garden, plus our crop of SPUDS, that was it. Cutting down trees to 'let the light in' was what my folks did in Co Limerick. My partner Rob, a Dubliner, city boy,has memories of his Mums sweet peas and roses. We love to plant trees and shrubs in our place, adding as much colour as is possible.We also love all flowers.
