Advice on shrubs

I have an area measuring 35 x 6 metres, oval in shape and it on a slope. very open to wind. Just need advice on what to grow on the entire area that will be low mainteance.

An area of that size can accommodate a couple of garden trees such as sorbus and birch to make some height and then some shrubs, large and small, such as viburnum, potentilla, hypericum and hydrangea,  and the spaces between these filled out towards the edges with perennial flowers, such as kniphofia, geranium, hosta, astilbe and dierama,
