Im trying to find out the differences between Cornus Controversa Variagated and Cornus Alternifolia “Argentea” apart from the difference in the size of the leaves?

These are similar in that they are related adn both make a ‘weddingcake’ tiered shape. But the alternifolia is smaller in all its parts, leaves and stems and it tends to make more of a thicket of growth, but if you take the unwanted suckers out, it can look very graceful.
