The above are growing among unkept shrubbery.I need to remove all and plant fresh shrubs there. Do I need several treatments of Rounup on the weeds, and how soon can I plant new shrubs there after treating and removing the weeds. How long between Rounup treatments on the weeds? All are there for 6/8 years.

Clear all the woody weeds and spray the re-growth with Roundup at high dose of 5%. Repeat if there is re-growth. You may need to use Brushwood killer as well because Roundup does not always clear ivy.

Only when all weeds are controlled should planting take place. Roundup is not carried in soil.
