This tree / shrub (?) seems to have self sown at the edge of my driveway, I wondered if you could identify what it is, and if so, what the best growing conditions would be for it. I need to move it slightly as it’s on the edge of the driveway gravel and I want to position it in more soil.

This is alder, which has very light seeds that travel. It is a native tree. It is getting on in the season for moving it., but should be okay if you move it right away.
