Lupins

Else O\’Neill asked 16 years ago

I have noticed tiny white bugs on my Lupins and wonder how to get riid of them? Also what is it from? It doesn’t seem to go to the other plants but on the Lupins in different areas in the garden. Thanks!

The white bugs are quite likley to be the skins of lupin greenflies, which shed as they increase in size. These are large greenflies and can cause collapse of the plants. Watch closely and if they build up consider some control measures byt spraying with a water jet, or an isecticide such as derris.
