I just dug the garden last week turned soil etc and put grass seed down, few stones etc still in the soil can u give me some tips for a new lawn and would sand be any good to put down mixed with the soil? Does the grass seed need to be buried or is it ok exposed on top?

If you have sown the seed, that’s it. Mow it when it is about 8cm tall and mow regularly.

Seed can be lightly raked in but sprouts on the surface too.
