Nitrogen and grass

Liz Martin asked 8 years ago

I’ve just put nitrogen on my grass as instructed on the label, it has now gone yellow – can I save it?

The weather has been cold and it is time enough to feed in late March or early April. You have proably over-done it, not scattered it evenly at the stated amount.

Grass usually recovers well from over-feeding but if it comes back patchily, just scatter some lawn seed in a few weeks’ time.
