I was given this plant as a present = the giver does not know its name!! It grows to about 5 ft and has a pink flower. Can you tell me its name please. Thank you Brian

This looks like Himalayan balsam, a summer annual flower, which has escaped from gardens and is nowproliferating to a damaging extent by slow-moving rivers and streams.
