Sick azalea

christina mc donnell asked 14 years ago

I have got an Azalea Augustinia, about ten years old. it has always been leggy and only flowered in the last couple of years, this year poorly. Can I prune it back into old wood in the hope of rejuvenating it.? And how should I feed it ?

Better to feed Rhododendron augustinii by mulching with lots of leaf mould. and a light shake of fertiliser.

It tends to be tall and will grow back after pruning.
