Strawberries are not really an indoor crop and are normally grown outdoors, but you can bring on an early crop by potting up plants in September and taking them into a tunnel in January to fruit in early May. These forced plants are then usually discarded.

Strawberries in commercial tunnels are hung in planting modules from the roof structure to give better light, to encourage air movement around the plants and to make picking easier. These are not really issues on a small scale.
