Kevin Breslin asked 15 years ago

Gerry, I want to move daffodils which are in the wrong place but not now as I d’ont want to damage any other plants which I can’t see yet(Dahlia,Hosta, etc.)Can I transplant just before they die down in late spring?

The easiest way to move daffodils is just as they go out of flower … you can still see the colours and decide which goes where. SImply lift the bulbs with some soil on the roots and re-plant elsewhere the same day. They will flop over, but water them and they will be fine.
