transplanting euphorbia

Natasha Keogh asked 13 years ago

I have a large and very beautiful euphorbia that is flowering right now. unfortunately it is encroaching on my coronet apple tree and it has green fly and i need to spray it so i’ve concluded i need to move it. when can i do this? i’ve heard they are difficult to move and i would be loath to lose it as its a really gorgeous specimen.

The greenflies will eventually peter out but if they are taking too much out of the plant you can spray anyway and no harm will be done to either plant. There is no danger of carry-over unbtil harvest.

The euphorbia would probably suffer from a move now if it is well-established but this would be likely to be more successful in autumn.
