What to do with steep slopes in a lawn

Hi Jerry,I am about to prepare about a half acre of lawn for seeding. The problem is there are some very steep slopes in the area which would be a probelm to cut later on. Is there any kind of lawn seed out there that you dont have to cut very often and if so is it any good or does it look crapy? I would still put normal seed every where else.If there is no suitable seed then do you know of any lawn mower especially suited to large declines? Thanks Brian

If there are steep slopes, you still have the opportunity to re-model the soil with a digger, lessening the slope, and this is probably the best solution.

If this is not possible, you have two possibilities … planting with trees and shrubs, or sowing grass and cutting the slopes with a hover mower that has no wheels and can be swung across the slope, even by tying the handle to a rope. However, this approach is very laboursome.
