When is the best time of year to transplant an olive tree growing in the wrong place outside in Co. Wicklow. What growing medium suits it best? I believe it it a well established tree but don’t know its age.

Olive trees are generally very successful when transplanted.
Mid–September and October are good times also late March and April.
Some leaf loss may be sustained due to root loss but recovery should be good. Lift carefully with as little root damage as possible.
