Oh there are lots of flowers on my strawberries and they will be out quite soon, cant wait - it seems early but they were over wintered in the greenhouse, its exciting and i get a kick out of growing them background

i was looking at my strawberries that are in pots in the tunnel today -- the fruit is there, just need sunshine to get some colour onto their cheeks.  i'm just hoping that i get to them before my golden labrador does... and people think that it's the birds that are a problem background

My strawberries outside are doing really well, they are just

loving this sunshine. Do you think I should put straw under

them to keep them clean? Will it attrack more slugs if I do?

Can't wait to taste the first one. background

From an idea in one of my gardening books I popped the just ripening strawberries into a clean jam jar to keep them clean. It also served as a little cloche for them. The ripened lovely. background
