I'm looking to identify and then source a plant that always grew in my granny's garden when I was younger. It's like a low scrub, it had leaves a bit like big clovers. It had these brightish pink flowers on it . We used to pick a leaves & stem and then you dragged the stem between your teeth and this bitter sour juice came out. Does anyone know what this plant was? dying to get some for nostalgia....

I think this may be
Pink Sorrell (Oxalis articulata)
I haven't seen any in years, but similarly to you, when I was a child my friends and I would suck the juicey sap from the stems.

Red Clover latin name — Trifolium pratense is what i think you are looking for.
you can get it in Lusks Garden Centre, Killyon , HIll-of-Down, Co.Meath. They won Plant Centre of the year at bord bia awards this year. ----- Hope this helps

You'd be a lunatic to put it in your garden, grow it in a pot if you have to have it at all and don't let it seed.
