hi

i was in the garden this morning,and was looking at the dahlia,s and

was surprised to see the stems covered in black midges all over the plants,

is there anything that can be spayed on them,as the plants looked

as if they about to wilt. background

Spray with an organic insect killer in the evening when the bees have stopped flying. Sounds like black aphids. You can then water them with a systemic insecticide. It kills everything that chews on them.
